Many people ask what makes the Tyros 3 sound so fantastic, and the simple answer is that the effects unit does a lot of the work.
In fact, if you want to see how much, simply turn off the effects and choose any of the electric guitar sounds, and without the effects, the voices sound the same!

SO, where are we going with this? Well, we love the Tyros 3 so much we want to add to the quality of sound. The instrument as a standard sounds every dry and lacks depth of sound. Here are just a few tips that we have tried with the Tyros 3 and the improvement in sound is stunning.

1. Increase the reverb level a little, the standard reverb settings are very “room” sounding and lack a lot of depth.
2. Bass and treble settings - increase both settings (found in EQ settings in the mixer) this will give a little more thickness and sharpness of sound.
3. Backing EQ and drum volume. We find that the drum volumes on the T3 are a little low against the backing. You can increase the drum volume slightly in the main mixer. Change the EQ and increase the bass and treble a little and notice the depth of sound and you will notice a big difference when playing.
